About Me

My name is Brianna Chan and I am the sole physiotherapist and founder of Kind Physiotherapy. 

I founded Kind Physiotherapy on the simple but essential principle: you are a person, not a diagnosis. Whether you are navigating a complex injury, wanting to optimize your performance, or you are going through a transformative life change, my mission is to provide care that is compassionate and effective. 

Education:
  • Master of Science in Physical Therapy, University of Alberta

  • Bachelor or Science in Kinesiology, University of Alberta

​My Exercise Background:
  • Competed in Wushu (martial arts) and powerlifting

  • Participated leisurely in Olympic lifting

  • Participates in general strength training, yoga and pilates​

Experience:
  • 3500+ practice hours in the area of pelvic health physiotherapy

  • Assisted in certifying physiotherapists to be able to perform internal exams

  • Mentored other practicing physiotherapists in relation to pelvic health 

Additional Training:
  • ​​​​Level 1: Physical therapy approach to female and male urinary incontinence

  • Level 2: Physiotherapy treatment of anyone experiencing pelvic pain

  • Level 1: Visceral manipulation - abdomen
